To implement this mission and vision, the College has designed a comprehensive curriculum, which includes a general education core and career-oriented programs of study in the allied health, business and technical fields. This curriculum provides successful students with the foundation for productive careers and social development. The career programs' specific objectives, as well as the basic general objectives, provide the basis for continuing evaluation and assessment of educational outcomes, which, in turn, reflect the effectiveness of the College in carrying out its mission. The basic general objectives are:
- To provide the necessary skills, knowledge and theories in programs of study, which allow successful students to enter chosen career fields after graduation;
- To develop competence in oral and written communication skills;
- To develop competence in computational skills, mathematical theory and analysis, and specialized mathematics relating to the allied health, business and technical fields;
- To provide basic computer literacy and advanced computer skills in the College's specific programs of study;
- To develop a general knowledge and appreciation for the complex society in which the student lives through a basic study of social and behavioral sciences.
Daymar Institute has a long tradition of providing a quality education for the career-oriented student. Daymar Institute has assumed a leadership role in the allied health, business and technical communities by providing postsecondary instruction and training in the latest skills, practices and theories to those entering the general allied health, business and technical fields of Accounting Technology, Billing and Coding Specialist, Bookkeeping, Business Administration Technology, Business Management, Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice Administration, Dental Assisting, Graphic Design, Health Care Administration, Human Resource Management, Internet Website Design, Massage Therapy, Medical Assisting – Administrative Track, Medical Assisting – Clinical Track, Network Support Administration, Paralegal Studies, Pharmacy Technology, and Police Studies. These programs are presented in a warm, friendly environment, which prepares students for a new entry-level career or advancement in an on-going career. This environment includes qualified faculty and administrative staff, modern instructional technology, appropriate physical facilities, and adequate financial resources.
